Emergency!! When do you come across an emergency? A situation posing an immediate threat or a sudden risk to life, environment, assets, possessions, or even health is called an emergency. Though emergency does seem like an uncontrollable moment but it can be easily dealt with. The only things required are patience and presence of mind and off course knowledge of general whereabouts of the surroundings and resources as well. It has a high probability of causing death, danger and destruction. Various types of emergencies:

DANGERS TO ENVIRONMENT

Those emergency situations which directly affect the environment or the surrounding areas instead of livestock or health or personal assets and the creatures of the environment other than the human lives. Like oil spills, excessive waste discharges in water bodies, ground water pollution, forest fires etc. though there is some awareness about the consequences of environmental emergencies however the results show that still an alarming is required to wake up the responsible authorities who are still negligent towards the serious issue. There is need to take a note of issues like animal welfare, marine life protection etc.

DANGERS TO HEALTH

Health emergencies are usually caused due to medical reasons or natural disasters. The causes of health emergencies are quite similar to that of life emergencies however the consequences may be different. In health emergencies people can suffer an aliment which is for a lifetime or can be temporary like damaging of some body part, or catching a disease like diabetes, cancer, broken limbs, backbone damage etc.. The only difference between life and health emergencies is that where life emergencies can cause death, health emergencies can only lead to prolonged illness. There are many agencies involved in preventing health emergencies. Then there are also the governmental health and medical policies which guarantee treatment and recovery plans and benefits.

LIFE EMERGENCIES

These are those emergency situations which pose a threat to livestock or simply human life. These may occur due to natural or circumstantial situations or medical tragedy like accident, strokes, heart attacks or even trauma. Life emergencies depending upon the type of situation are capable of sometimes affecting only an individual life or sometimes mass populations like in case of a natural catastrophe or a bomb blast. There are many organizations like rescue 911 etc which are the immediate are respondents. Also there are many agencies and organizations managing this work up to a good limit since life emergencies are considered a first priority when it comes to emergencies.

PROPERTY or POSSESIONS related emergencies.

These emergencies though are not that harmful as they do not threaten life of health of people. The only loss caused due to them is to the personal or public assets. Fire incidents in buildings or warehouses or cyclones can cause damage to the property which when are evacuated. These situations pose as an emergency because if untreated they can stretch further like adjacent buildings can also be affected and due to these emergencies the business, trade and commerce will suffer. Insurance policies, government allowances, are a few steps to ensure protection. Then there are actively responding agencies which reduce the further aggravating consequences by providing immediate assistance.

Emergencies can occur anytime anywhere so the best way is to alert and proactive about the very next minute. Also it is necessary that the governments recruit specialized team and agencies meant for only dealing with an EMERGENCY!!
